Judge’s Journey Judge is an American Pit Bull Terrier mix who was lovingly adopted by Symone and Fab Negrini. He had a happy home that he shared with the Negrini’s their four children and ten other furry and feathery friends until the fateful day of February 10, 2009. On that day, Judge and his family experienced a devastating house fire. All of his human family members made it out of the house safely, but Judge and his buddies got trapped in the house. Many of his furry and feathered friends didn’t make it out, but Judge and his pal Chaos were fortunate to be saved by the local fire departments. Judge escaped with his life, but suffered smoke inhalation and serious burns to a large portion of his body. Even in this fragile condition, Judge continues to be a source of strength and love to the whole family, and especially the Negrini children. Judge and his family have only just begun the next step in his journey though. Judge now must face several surgical procedures for skin grafts so that he may completely heal. After the surgery he will go through many weeks of bandage changes and be watched closely by his vets and his family. As you can imagine this treatment is expensive, but the Negrini family can’t put a price on their love for Judge even after they’ve lost so much. Many people in the community have already reached out to the family and asked how they can help Judge. The Negrini’s are very grateful for this help, although there is still a long way to go and many expenses still to face. We will be keeping this site up to date so that you can follow Judge’s progress.
